Vegas Vacation Misc.

I don't know about the rest of you but this guy was etched in my mind as a mere child. !!!LAS VEGAS!!! As far back as I can remember HE represented the city in the desert. He was in all the advertising, be it magazines and television. He can even been seen waving his arm in a few GREAT B/W "B" flicks (Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman) of the 50's!! But how things have changed. Once upon a time he stood tall, free of the cage now covering him from the beautiful night sky. It took me forever to find him (as with "THE" Welcome sign) but my heart smiled that at least he has not been torn down. If you ever are in Las Vegas please stop by the Freemont St. district. That's where you will find the elusive cowboy. He resides in what is left of the OLD Vegas. They have covered the area with a dome of lights which puts on a light/music show every night. I will not comment on the area. Let me just say, thank you to those whom have kept the cowboy "alive."

Well the vacation ended all to soon. It was time to board the plane and head back home. If I hadn't mentioned it before (HAHA) I am not one that enjoys sitting in a cramped space, breathing recycled air for any amount of time. Therefore I like to keep myself occupied, whether it be reading, eating, watching the "in house" movie, etc. Unfortunately for me, the selected feature on the return flight was "Spy Kids." I barely endured said film on the flight there and I just could not bring myself to watching it AGAIN!! I had read the magazines and could not get into the book I had brought along to read. The meal (?) would not be passed out for awhile. Oh, what to do?? All I can say is thank goodness for digital cameras! Below please find a sample of what I did over the next 5 hours.

Page still under construction!!
