Well it is now almost the end of August and I thought it was finally time to get this page up and running. Back in June the girls and I revisited the Big Apple for a few days. Our main reason for going was U2's last show of their tour at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. Unfortunately we were sitting too far away to get any good pictures but be sure to visit Valerie's site for numerous GREAT pics from the concerts in Washington, DC. We were lucky enough however to get great seats at the Circle in the Square Theatre Saturday (matinee) performance of Rocky Horror Picture Show. (No pictures allowed but please visit RHPS LIVE web site for some great pics and info.) If you are in New York, WE highly recommend that you add RHPS to your list of things TO DO while in the city. Great show, fantastic cast and who can resist the TIME WARP!!!
As if going to U2's final concert in the US (this go around) and attending a performance of RHPS wasn't enough... Well the pictures below speak for themselves. Yes we got roped into another party with the "stars." They just can't seem to have a great time unless we attend. So it was off to a gala event to hang with the old gang. Yeah right....Anyone can now be seen with the rich and famous if you make your way to a wonderful place called Madame Tussaud's. Another must see while in the city.
The following weekend we decided we needed to travel again...this time to Philadelphia for an overnite to see Depeche Mode. Another fantastic concert (sorry no pixs allowed). And since it was such a quick turn around we didn't even take any pictures of the area (will have to return-great architecture, history, etc). We did however drop in for lunch at a nice little deli type store on South St. When paying for lunch we found out that DM's food had been catered from there. Again reiterating that we travel with the "pack." LOL
I bet you wondered why I wrote Viva Las Vegas above...some lame joke..an Elvis sighting perhaps? Well yes, there were a few Elvi about as we really did vacation in Las Vegas last month.
